At Raise and Revive Community Garden (RRCG), we believe healing happens best in community. Our name reflects our mission. Just as a community garden brings people together to plant, nurture, and cultivate growth, we exist to help individuals and families plant healthy seeds that lead to lasting emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational well-being.

We fulfill this mission by providing counseling services, education, community outreach, social connection events, and connections to local resources—including faith communities for those who desire them—to create opportunities for people to heal, grow, connect, and flourish.

Whether someone is taking their first step toward healing or continuing their journey, RRCG is committed to walking alongside them with compassion, hope, and practical support.

Board of Directors

Crystal White, LPC

Chair, President/CEO

Crystal N. White is the founder of Raise and Revive Community Garden (RRCG), a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening children, families, and communities through compassionate counseling, education, and supportive services.

Crystal earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with an emphasis in Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking, from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Next, she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Illinois, further equipping her to lead organizations that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

For more than 10 years, Crystal has served children and families in a variety of settings, including church ministry, juvenile corrections, foster care, community mental health, and private practice. These experiences have shaped her holistic, strengths-based approach to counseling, equipping individuals and families to navigate life's challenges with resilience, hope, and purpose.

Crystal's greatest passion is helping children and families not only overcome obstacles but also flourish. Through Raise and Revive Community Garden, she is committed to expanding access to compassionate, high-quality services that foster healing, encourage growth, restore hope, and strengthen communities.

In addition to her clinical and nonprofit leadership, Crystal is an author who develops faith-based resources and practical tools that promote emotional wellness, spiritual growth, healthy relationships, and leadership development for children, individuals, and families.

Kyle Sloane

Treasurer & Secretary

Kyle serves as the Treasurer and Secretary for Raise and Revive Community Garden (RRCG). He is passionate about advancing mental well-being and believes that mental health has been overlooked for generations. In today's rapidly changing world, he recognizes the importance of helping individuals develop confidence in who they are while fostering healthy relationships with others.

Kyle brings a strong analytical and financial perspective to the Board of Directors. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Science in Biostatistics from California State University, East Bay. His education and expertise equip him to provide thoughtful financial oversight and data-informed guidance that support the long-term sustainability of RRCG.

As Secretary and Treasurer, Kyle is committed to responsible stewardship of the organization's resources, ensuring that every dollar is managed wisely to maximize its impact on the individuals, families, and communities RRCG serves. Through his leadership, he helps strengthen the organization's ability to fulfill its mission with integrity, accountability, and excellence.

Halisi Ali El

Board Member

Halisi serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Raise and Revive Community Garden (RRCG). She brings passion, vision, and a deep commitment to community engagement, using her gifts to inspire, empower, and advocate for others.

As a life coach and healer, Halisi helps individuals recognize, process, and authentically express their emotions, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being. Her compassionate approach encourages clients to embrace their authentic selves while navigating life's challenges with confidence and resilience.

Dedicated to strengthening communities, Halisi is also an activist who partners with local organizations and businesses to advance their missions through strategic planning, collaboration, and engaging community education and entertainment ("edutainment") events.

As an author, Halisi draws inspiration from finding joy and hope amid childhood adversity. Her experiences have fueled a passion for advocating for children and families within the public school system. She is committed to helping parents find their voices, navigate educational systems with confidence, and become effective advocates for their children's success.

Through her service on the Board of Directors, Halisi contributes a heart for community, a passion for empowering others, and a steadfast commitment to advancing RRCG's mission of strengthening individuals, families, and communities.
